THE WORLD IS SUCKED IN PLASTIC MILL. AT THE SAME TIME THE ENERGY NEEDS INCREASE IN THE IMMEDIATE.
IT WILL TIME TO CHANGE SOMETHING.
Plasik and oil
Production of 332 million tons of plastic per year
Most of it ends up as plastic waste in our seas and landfills. The largest landfill in the world is already as big as Monaco.
8 - 12 million tons of plastic get into the sea every year
This equates to more than one LWK charge per minute. More than 100 millions of tons of plastic waste circulate in the world's largest garbage whirlwind.
MASSES OF FISH AND SEA BIRDS.
Each year, more than 1 million sea birds die of plastic parts. Even fish, which are later consumed by us humans, take up plastic garbage, which they habitually hold for food.
EXPONENTIAL RISE OF THE WORLD POPULATION
In the past 200 years, the world population of 1 billion people has grown to 7 billion. By the year 2050 more 3 billion should be added.
ENERGY CONSUMPTION PER HEAD ALSO RISES.
In the last 25 years alone, per capita energy consumption has increased by 10%. The increasing standard of living in developing countries does not put an end to this trend in sight.
Until 2035 another 4 billion tons of oil per year needed
In the next 20 years, the energy consumption should increase by another 30%. This equates to an oil equivalent of 4 billion tons per year.
