The Future of Chemical Recycling Plants in the UK
One Year ago, in December 2021, we announced that we have commissioned the pilot plant of our WASTX Plastic for QMRE in the UK.
The Biofabrik Group develops and markets technologies to sustainably address energy, food and waste issues. We want to reduce the destructive extraction of fossil raw materials while developing profitable business models.

Since the establishment of the Biofabrik Group in 2011, we have researched, improved and launched numerous technologies and products. Among them:
Currently, we are focusing our energy on the following main projects. But the vision of the Biofabrik goes far beyond that. We want to become the leading think tank on environmental issues and invest profits in researching more and more new environmental technologies.
With the pre-set goal of making the economy of the future recyclable thanks to our technologies, the Biofabrik Group already focuses on the world’s sustainability through its core idea.
Every year, 4 billion tons of oil are pumped. In addition to crude oil, many other raw materials such as sodium, phosphorus or potassium will also become scarce in the medium term. That’s why Biofabrik’s technologies open up alternatives to traditional oil production.
Only 9% of the plastic ever produced, has been recycled. Our technologies create new raw material cycles and thus reduce environmental pollution.
Both internally and externally, we act according to the standard of maximized sustainability in order to make our planet more sustainable. We contribute to this by using resources responsibly, utilizing residual and waste materials and implementing circular economy solutions.
25% of global CO2 emissions come from the transport sector. Decentralized technologies improve energy efficiency in logistics and production.
With the WASTX Plastic plant, plastic waste no longer has to be dumped in landfills or to be incinerated, but can be converted into recyclable pyrolysis oil.
High levels of investment continue to flow into fossil fuel industries. Our vision is to develop sustainable and profitable business models to reverse this trend.
Depending on the investment volume, we offer various options: shares in recycling parks, stand-alone investments or crowdfunding investments.

The Biofabrik Group was founded to develop revolutionary products and business models to solve global problems. The core idea is to create the company that our planet would create itself if it could....
To the article 2011The first Biorefinery of the Biofabrik Green Refinery goes into operation after years of research. The technology produces plant-based amino acids and healthy fertilizers from renewable raw materials, making an important contribution to solving the world's food problem...
To the article 2012The principle of pyrolysis has been known for a good hundred years: The long-chain hydrocarbon compounds of plastics are broken down by heating in the absence of oxygen. Short-chain hydrocarbon compounds are formed, which are liquid or gaseous...
To the article 2013By the middle of this century, the world's population will have grown to a total of approximately 10 billion people. In order to ensure the dramatically increasing demand for food in the long term, 160 million tons of fertilizer are applied to our agricultural land every year...
To the article 2015We believe that a predominantly plant-based diet is a key element to sustainable change, both on an individual and societal level. Together, we want to make healthy eating easy and accessible for everyone...
To the article 2016It was only in 2017 that we started developing our WASTX Oil. In the meantime, the second generation of the technology is being mass-produced in a specially built factory hall. And this is urgently needed, because even today, a large part of the 25 billion liters of waste oil generated each year is dumped in an environmentally harmful way...
To the article 2017In order to bring together disposal companies that generate different waste materials on a single platform, we have developed the marketplace, which enables all parties involved to dispose of the waste oil they generate in an environmentally friendly manner and with the best possible conditions.

As early as 1970, State Garden Shows have been held in the Federal Republic of Germany, which are exhibitions on horticulture that also include thematic areas such as landscape architecture.
Together with Plastoil, our distributor for Australia and New Zealand, we have reached the next milestone – the commissioning of our first WASTX Plastic as well as the first pyrolysis plant in Australia.
