The Biofabrik Group develops and markets technologies to sustainably address energy, food and waste issues. We aim to reduce destructive fossil fuel extraction while developing profitable business models.

We are looking for an accountant with corporate experience to strengthen our central finance team.

Your tasks

• Preparation of monthly financial statements and preparation of the annual financial statements for the subsidiaries and the consolidated financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB)

• Accounting of current business transactions
• Preparation and submission of advance VAT returns
• Invoice verification, preliminary account assignment, posting and verification as well as administration of payment transactions

• Optimisation and documentation of accounting processes

Your strengths

• Commercial vocational training or business studies with a focus on accounting, ideally supplemented by further training as a balance sheet accountant
• at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting
• first professional experience in group accounting desirable

• very good knowledge in the use of Excel and Datev (or comparable accounting software)

• experience with LucaNet or comparable applications for the consolidation of annual accounts desirable
• Good proficiency in English
• analytical thinking and good numerical skills
• structured way of working, ability to work in a team as well as flexibility and enjoy working independently
